Each Spring several folks get together just West of the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds for a Planting Bee, where they use horses and old equipment to ready the soil and plant the grain on a couple of acres right next to Highway 26, outside of Colfax, Washington.
They also perform a Harvest Bee at the end of each summer, again using horses and old equipment. It's quite a sight. The land they are farming in this video is just a few miles from one of our farms.
