Can you tell we're getting excited for Christmas on the Palouse? The Snake River above Lower Granite Lock and Dam was frozen from bank to bank. Fly with my Grandpa in his M5 Maule by Boyer Park and over the dam. You will see where a barge broke the ice on it's way to Lewiston Idaho. The ice was at least four inches thick from the looks of it. Further up the river you can see wher the ice shattered as the barge broke through it and scattered chunks the size of your head out and away from it's path.
