Take a ride with my Grandpa as he flies down the Snake River, over Boyer Park & Marina, towards Almota, where much of the Palouse Region's grain is loaded onto barges and shipped down river. The barges and hydro-electric dams are a vital part of the region's economy. Each barge, full of wheat, heading to market, replaces 100 semi-trucks on the roads....so the dams along the Snake and Columbia river aren't only good for the economy, they are also very "green".
